Exmouth Food Bank February 2021 Newsletter

We’ve changed our name but not what we do!

This month we launched our new website, emails and phone numbers. We have communicated the changes to all of our current clients and the agencies we work with. We will continue to check both the old and new email addresses for now so that we won’t miss anything.

Let’s take stock!

What a generous community we have, through individual supporters, local group collections and businesses, we receive approximately 3/4 of a ton of donated products each week. That’s equivalent to the weight of a Mini car every fortnight!

Thanks to your amazing generosity we currently have enough supplies for the next few months of dried pasta, dried rice, tinned meat and fish, tinned soups and beans.

If you are kind enough to donate, we would really like to receive:

Easter Eggs-travaganza

As we get closer toward Easter weekend, we have been asked if we can accept Easter eggs.

Our response to this is a big chocolate “YES”.

We would love to send out Easter eggs to families as a treat in our standard food parcels.

To ensure any egg donations get to families in time for Easter, can we ask that they get to us by Friday 26 March as after this date we can't guarantee we can deliver them in time.

Thank you.

March plans

Look out for our new Exmouth Food Bank updates in the Exmouth Journal. These will be appearing fortnightly and the first one will be published the week beginning Monday 1 March 2021.

We also want to take a closer look at the bags we use to deliver food to our clients. We are trialling paper bags and bags for life and have also considered using boxes. We want to be as socially responsible as possible whilst also fully considering the health and safety of our packers and delivery teams.
